Artificial lift, Reservoir Deliverability & Well Performance
About This Course
Learning Objective: The course will provide understanding of petroleum production systems, reservoir deliverability and well performance concepts, evaluation of results based on different popular/standard methods used in the industry. The course will also entail different artificial lifts used in the industry laying out the concepts & functions of every component of each of the artificial lifts. Students will be provided excel spreadsheets to understand and calculate different variables as an output & analyse the impact on the production rates facilitating decision making.
Prerequisites:Familiarity with petroleum Engineering concepts are desirable but not an absolute necessity. Students and Professionals are welcomed to join the course and learn about the upstream production engineering domain.
Outcome from this course:
- Understand and apply the principles of multiphase tube and pipe flow
- Examine the drawdown potential of each method, the starting and operating costs, and the range of production and depth feasible with each method; concerns such as sand/scale/deviation, among others, are discussed with each method.
